La 75° entrega de los Primetime Emmy Awards se llevó a cabo en el Teatro Peacock en Los Angeles, California, el pasado lunes 15 de enero.

En la ceremonia conducida por Anthony Anderson (Black-ish) se premió a lo mejor de la televisión. Fue la gran noche de series como Beef, The Bear y Succession, indiscutidas campeonas en sus respectivas categorías.

En el infaltable segmento In Memoriam, donde se recuerda a los profesionales que nos han abandonado desde la gala pasada, Charlie Puth y The War and Treaty interpretaron la canción «See You Again» de Wiz Khalifa. Finalizaron con un conmovedor homenaje a Matthew Perry, recordándolo con la melodía de «I’ll be there for you», el tema de apertura de Friends donde Perry brilló como Chandler Bing.

Posteriormente, la organización sin fines de lucro GLAAD (Alianza de Gays y Lesbianas contra la difamación) fue condecorada con el premio del gobernador por su destacada labor, generando consciencia y aceptación de la comunidad LGBT.
