Universal Pictures presentó el trailer de su nuevo film, First Man, protagonizado por Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) y dirigida por Damien Chazelle (Whiplash). La película de Neil A. Armstrong y su primer paso en la luna está basada en la novela First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong, de James Hansen.
La colaboración de Chazelle y Gosling se repite después del éxito de La La Land (2016). Esta historia fue escrita por Josh Singer (ganador del Oscar por Spotlight) y fue producida por Wyck Godfrey y Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars) a través de Temple Hill Entertainment, junto a Chazelle y Gosling. La producción ejecutiva estará en manos de Isaac Klausner (The Fault in Our Stars).
El elenco lo completan Claire Foy (The Crown) en el rol de Janet Shearon, la primera esposa de Armstrong, Corey Stoll (The Strain) como Buzz Aldrin, Kyle Chandler (Game Night) como Deke Slayton, Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) como Ed White, Shea Wigham (Kong: Skull Island) en el rol de Gus Grissom, Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) como David Scott, Brian d’Arcy James (13 Reasons Why) como Joseph A. Walker, Pablo Schreiber (Den of Thieves) como Jim Lovell y otros tantos como Patrick Fugit (Outcast), Cory Michael Smith (Gotham), Lukas Haas (The Revenant) y Christopher Abbott (The Sinner).
